When we came across this recent art deco inspired restaurant refurb, we just had to share it.
With Mister Important Design at the helm, the in house restaurant at the San Francisco based Hotel Bijou was transformed into a work of art.
The fitout beacons you back to the 1930s and features brass screen adorned with peacocks and bright banquettes in custom leather set against a backdrop of warm lighting and chandeliers.
The magnificent ceiling mural by Italian artist Marco Battaglini takes inspiration from 18th century Rococo painters such as Francois Boucher.
Clear bulbs surround the mural and are "reminiscent of a marquee, from an era when Bijou was one of the most popular names for a movie house" says Mister Important Design's principal Charles Doell.
Jaws dropped here at Olde English Tiles when the image of the bathroom was shared in the office. The diamond pattern on the floor with marble benchtop and brass fittings look stunning paired with a greek key border and classic white subway tile.
