Situated in the Northern Rivers, The Banya is a modern twist on a centuries old bathhouse tradition - a complete social, bathing and dining experience.
With his appreciation for period architectural style, the owner, Brenden Lawless wanted to breathe new life into an old brick building in Mullumbimby, whilst preserving its 1920s structure.
He cleverly combined raw brick, herringbone timber, leather, terrazzo, marble, mosaics plus a spectacular 120 sq. metre salmon, pink & white tessellated floor - Olde English Tiles' Marais pattern, which occupies the entire upper storey and staircase, together with a customised mosaic entrance mat.
